From the moment I walked into the Lux Grand Gaube I was met with warmth and a beautiful smile. Every single staff member here made my trip absolutely mind blowing, they’re incredible sincerity, genuine morals, attention to detail and they’re mastery of consumer experience shows from top to bottom of the entire resort, from owners, to the management and to the staff on the floor every single one of them are incredible. Best resort I’ve ever stayed in by far. Every morning you walk to breakfast and they all greet you with positivity, a good morning and a smile. I had my birthday here on my own as seen in the photos and there were easily over 100 staff members wishing me a happy birthday. I have to thank every single one of you - all the most lovely and heart warming people. The LUX understand what you want when you stay at a nice resort/hotel. They take care of everything and check constantly to ensure you have everything. They look after you constantly and also offer everything you need to have a great trip right at your door. I wish I had stayed for my entire trip here rather than go to the other hotel RIU as I had already booked everything months prior - it was my first time coming to Mauritius so I wasn’t sure how everything would go as I needed to explore.
I will definitely be back and for every opportunity in the future where I can stay at The LUX anywhere, I will do so.

Everything was wonderful! We had a lovely experience, and the staff truly made our stay special. Everyone was so friendly, welcoming, and attentive. The room was clean, the food was delicious, and the staff was always happy to help and quick to resolve any issues that came up. We felt very well taken care of and would happily recommend this place to others!

Incredible hotel, from the staff to the restaurants everything was exceptional. We went for our honeymoon and they really look after honeymooners - offering free activities exclusively for you which were all amazing! Couldn’t recommend this hotel more!

Lovely property, generally the staff were nice, especially Ashwan at breakfast. I particularly enjoyed the food at BB's, the Bourdin Blue, and the buffet at the Palm Court.
However, I found the dinner options at Beach Rouge and Creole Smokehouse to be just average. The lunch menu at the smokehouse offered better choices (smokehouse esq) than dinner, which primarily consisted of curries. I think some of the lunch options could be a great addition to the dinner menu.
There was also a variety of activities to participate in, I enjoyed the yoga and found the I-Photography workshop helpful.
The cleanliness of the rooms could be greatly improved. There were numerous scuff marks and stains on the walls and phone that could have been cleaned. I also unfortunately had to deal with tiny ants throughout my stay. The first time I called, housekeeping came and sprayed the impacted areas that night. However, the next morning, I awoke to more ants that had now gotten into my suitcase. I called guest services, and they said they'd have housekeeping do a deep cleaning, but ants remained.
I also participated in the Rum Experience, which I did not enjoy. I believe that activity is not suitable for children. Although the property itself was nice, the quality of the room is enough for me to choose a different property if I ever visit Mauritius in the future.
