Staff were lovely. Food quality was excellent. Congratulations to the chef for the perfect fillet steak but peppercorn sauce was weak and menu was brief. Ale was very good. Shower room was great. Room was warm.
Parking adequate. Room number one is tired and in need of a makeover. Muck and cobwebs behind the door. Scuffs, chipped areas and marked paintwork and carpet stains. Please change the two single beds for firmer mattresses and the all white sheets and quilts are not big enough and could be prettier.
Wardrobe rails are unreachable so we had to live out of suitcase . We felt that we shouldn’t have to pay for wifi on principle so had no satnav in the car.
