The village of Asin is beautiful. People who come here usually come for a purpose: to relax in the quiet and hike the mountains. So you can meet some good people. It's fun that the small pool actually works and is very clean, very refreshing after a day in the mountains. Interestingly, the path to Punta Corona starts literally from the refuge. (Cause it's almost like a refuge when it comes to the standard.)
Much has been said about cramped rooms with narrow, heavily used beds and even more cramped micro-bathrooms. Our experience was no different here. We didn't find the staff most welcoming either, but given the sheer size of this facility, they have hard jobs :)
