Parking outside the property amazing. Door stayed open to unload luggage. We were in the dark corner disabled room, which we didn’t need, but loved it. Bathroom great size. Best night sleep we have had for a long time. Comfy bed and dark and quiet. Perfect. The extra doors being able to close, meant the draft from the front door didn’t come in.
Room is dark and building work outside, hence ear plugs, however didn’t need them at night. The front door didn’t look secure being glass and it did have a draft coming in. No wardrobes or drawers.

Spotlessly clean unit. Comfortable bed. Good shower. There were issues with the TV, but that was replaced promptly, with no hassle. Walking distance to town, with a huge range of eateries, and the lake.
Photos are a bit out of date - some show ashtrays outside the rooms - smoking is now in designated areas only.

The motel provides accommodation very close to the centre of Wanaka, so it is an easy walk into town for food or entertainment. Despite being close to town, it was still a quiet unit.
Very dated, cheap and basic room facilities which hardly justifies the tariff charged, but I guess the price reflects it being in Wanaka and close to the town centre. In keeping with its age, I was still surprised that the windows were not double glazed, given the cold climate, and the unit (bathroom especially) seemed quite cold for our winter stay. Not really a cozy stay.
