Although there are 89 steps up to the property and 13 more inside the hotel, the view was totally worth it! I could watch the tidal bore arrive from my room. The breakfast was nice with lots of choice. The bed was exactly to my taste.
There wasn’t any little steri-milk containers for the instant coffee.

I stayed in L’Ermitage on the island. It was a wonderful location in an antique building.
Carpet was worn and stained. The bed was fine but the walls were so thin that there was a lot of noise from other guests.

The location.
The room is OK. The carpet is stained, the door very difficult to open and close. Honestly, if this room were anywhere else I would not recommend it, but you can’t beat the location

We felt privileged to stay on the island of Mont Saint-Michel. Our walking tour was amazing, the Abbey was also amazing. I would definitely recommend staying overnight but I am sure there are better hotels to stay in.
The hotel is understaffed for starters. We were told our room was ready at 4pm but it hadn't been cleaned and the bed was not made. The rooms are tired and we felt more like we were staying in a back-packers than a hotel. Breakfast was ordinary and if you weren't in early that ran out of things like butter and spoons! The rooms are not cheap.
