Building lovely, staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and warm with good facilities. Restaurant food excellent.
The bar is beautiful and very well stocked. Bar staff lovely despite being very busy with a birthday party in the event room.
Room decor was quite tired and dated. The restaurant staff a bit impatient, also menus printed on thin paper (with stains) handed to us in a big bundle, and difficult to read in the light. 2 people using phone torches to read them

We felt so comfortable and happy here, we stayed an extra night.
Nice bath and shower. Big comfortable bed. Everything we needed. Beautiful old building. Nice bar and restaurant. Good breakfast. Lovely staff. Safe location. Car was happy in car park.
A few cobwebs around the ceilings and the above sink light didn't work. (I think the cleaners need to look up more often 😆) .
