Bedrooms clean andcwarm once we asked for a heater, and shower pressure was amazing, and restaurant was lovely.
they closed the bar very early which meant we were in our rooms by 9.30. As it was a hotel, and they had the guests all in there drinking , it was a shame to close it so early.

Have stayed numerous times. Great staff, comfortable, WiFi, safe parking for bikes, fan and separate radiator, digital radio in room, great location for bars and restaurants. Excellent shower in 26.

Very friendly reception, all the staff were excellent. Had a lovely evening in the bar sitting by the fire. Delightful! Our room was clean, bed was very comfortable.
Our room was very cold, when I asked when the heating was being turned on, I was told it wasn't working!!! However, we were supplied with a very small heater which just about took the chill off. Disappointed that we weren't informed of this before, it had not been working for 5 days. Had we known we could have bought warmer night clothes. The window frame was rotten and one sheet of glass had slipped down leaving a gap of an inch which despite the thin secondary glazing, still allowed the cold in. I do appreciate its an old building but this is basic maintenance.
