The staff were very friendly, polite and helpful throughout our stay. The breakfast was good and offered a reasonable variety of food. We also appreciated the hotel’s facilities, SPA and the spacious rooms. The hotel has good potential and it is clear that it was designed as a high-level property.
Unfortunately, the current condition of the hotel does not fully meet the standard I would expect from a five-star property. We found a live cockroach in our first room and, after being moved to another higher-category room, we found another live cockroach there as well. As a result, we had to change rooms and lost a significant amount of sleep over two nights.
There are also signs that the hotel needs renovation and better maintenance: some chairs have damaged upholstery, some doors do not close properly, and there are various worn or damaged details. The cleanliness of the SPA and changing rooms was also not always at the expected level, with hair and dirt visible on some occasions.
The hotel kindly offered us a bottle of wine and some fruit as compensation, which we appreciated, but this did not really compensate for the inconvenience. In my opinion, the hotel currently feels closer to a four-star property than a five-star one.
