I was attending an event at the nearby university, and this was extremely convenient for accessing the campus. The breakfast buffet was also nice.
There are surprisingly few places to eat in the immediate area, especially later in the evening. However, food delivery services were very accessible and made up for this.

This hotel in an eastern suburb of Paris is well reachable by public transport, just 20 minutes by RER trains from central Paris. The breakfast room is stylish with allusions to the scientific campus next to the hotel. The breakfast itself offers hot items, fruit, vegetables and has more options than you would expect from a budget hotel. The reception is open 24h and offers free luggage storage (not the standard with Ibis).
Even for a budget hotel the rooms are really small, you will have difficulties finding space for a large suitcase. The bathroom is one of the smallest I've ever seen, comparable to those on cruise ships.

It was in a good location for me and was close to transportation. It had a great bakery over the bridge with great coffee and pastries.
The shower was clean.
They put a brand new mattress in during my stay and it was very comfortable.
The shower was clean.but the shower head holder was broken and did not point where you wanted it.
A group came in at midnight one night and made a lot of noise, the staff came upstairs and asked them to quiet down. Otherwise, other guests were quiet.
