Great location. (Scaffolded at the mo.) Very old building and everyone seems to have stayed there .... Boris, Bowie, even the Beatles! Breakfast, in a huge sort of ballroom, was great - very lavish.
Lift out of order. A warren of stairs, which is quite hard with heavy 'touring' cases, even tho' one of party was strong!

Easy check in and check out, comfortable room
Heating came on early and was noisy. If I had stayed longer I could probably have adjusted it.

Bed was comfortable, breakfast was good value. The staff were all friendly
Me and my partner got rudely woken up at 1am by some drunk people in room above us. Because the hotel is an old building you could here everything and it sounded like they were coming through ceiling. The hotel was a little dated but was good value just a shame about not getting q goodnight sleep
