Nothing really, it was all good

Enjoyed 2 nights here. Friendly staff, beautiful, comfortable room. Ate in the restaurant on arrival and the food was really good. Buffet style breakfast in the morning was also good. Enjoyed a swim in the pool too. Altogether very nice indeed.

Great location as it was easily accessible from the motorway. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The rooms were spacious. The pool was lovely. The food was lovely, particularly the evening meal we had.

When I booked our stay, I’d stated that we had a baby and would need a cot, however after booking I received an email stating the hotel no longer provides cots which was very disappointing. On arrival at the hotel, we were told we would have to access our room by going outside or use a considerable amount of stairs (with a pushchair for our baby this was not possible). We then had to carry our baby up and down all the stairs for the remainder of our stay to access the reception, the dining room and the pool as the weather was very wet, windy and cold and we did not want to have to push our pushchair and take our children outside in this weather just to access breakfast in the morning. On our first night, on our arrival the radiators were on in our room however throughout the night the room was cold and there was no way of putting the heating back on in our room. There was a considerable draft coming through the windows (even though we’d made sure they were completely shut) and the heating wasn’t on all night or in the morning. With it being a cold October night in the middle of a storm, I was very disappointed that there was no heating on through the night especially as we had a baby and toddler with us. When we rang reception in the morning, they did however bring an electrical heater immediately and promised they’d sort the problem (this was rectified by our second evening).
