Beautiful location and the old part of the building has some amazing features. The room decor was dated, but for the money it was fine I thought. And it would be a great with a dog, because there was a back door onto a semi-private terrace. The cooked breakfast was good.
I had to track down towels and the shower was very weak for hair washing. But again, I didn't really care too much given the low price (by Scotland standards these days). However I was bothered that a member of staff (female at least) walked into the room without knocking on the first morning. And then again the next day the same member of staff knocked this time, but it was before my check-out time so I felt harrassed by it.

Homely comfortable hotel set in beautifully kept ground. Menu was excellent and delicious Thai dishes as well as traditional options. Dog friendly.

An excellent breakfast, freshly cooked and a generous selection.
The internet signal isn't great and the TV has poor reception so it is difficult to watch any of the channels without the picture breaking up.
