7 / 10Good·Oct 2026

Lovely historical quirky hotel, could do with some tender loving care, ie upgraded or repaired windows in the bedrooms. We had two standard rooms with high ceilings, comfy beds and showers very good. We stayed two nights and the breakfasts were good, plenty to choose from. Staff were polite and friendly. We didn’t try the restaurant for dinner as we were seeing family in Towyn. There was a wedding the day we left and the set up looked amazing. The weather was raining for our stay and didn’t go on any walks around the grounds but took a couple of photos out of the windows as shown.

Evening of Thurs 22 Oct we had been out for the day and evening and came back to have a night cap in the bar around 9.30pm but it closed at 9pm ☹️ which was disappointing.

The Location.

Our room wasn’t very clean and had cobwebs in it. The toilet and shower facilities weren’t great.
