Friendly staff in the bar and at breakfast. Really impressed that breakfast staff knew about coeliac issues, e.g. that toast would be cooked in a separate toaster. We had a great cooked breakfast, whereas this had not been possible in some hotels we stopped in our trip (in those we were only able to eat yoghurt and fruit). Great location round the corner of the ferry we were catching the next morning. Plenty of parking.
Hotel is a bit tired in places, but comfortable.

The staff were friendly at reception and amazing in the restaurant & Bistro. The hotel was ideal for location, especially if catching the ferry. Free parking when you register on the day was a bonus. The meals in the restaurant were very good, but need to book in advance.
The size of the room was a bit small and the noise of people walking in the corridor, but I had seen these in the reviews so was aware. However, when I got there and went to shut the curtains, I was confronted by 2 electrical wires dangling. Wasn't sure if they were live or not. The shower had no hot water for the 2 days we were there. As we were out most of the time I did forget to tell reception, but did before we left.
