Location was good. I enjoyed a visit to the Rhondda Heritage Park nearby.
Overall it was ok, but not exceptional. Overall the place was clean but the bathroom could do with a better clean- around the bath and on the floor by the door. There was a hair in the bath. The hot water ran out when I was in the bath so I couldn’t top it up.
The food was ok but not excellent. I was disappointed with the soup which tasted like it had come out of a catering packet, but the fish and chips was excellent. The breakfast was a bit disappointing.

Location was fine
The bathroom products were nice and there was a TV and bath, albeit a small bath.
The two young staff ladies and the restaurant man were lush
I asked for a quiet room and they did put me far from the lobby but I got woken up at 1030pm when I was a bit ill and it left me much more ill. It was a big bang and people coming past the room and banging doors. It basically meant I was much more ill for the weekend then and couldn’t attend the thing I was in Wales for. There were over 220 rooms in the hotel. There were about 15 guests that night. I reckon they could have put me in my own little quiet corner. I had ear plugs in and a brown noise machine and still got woken up 😩
There was also black hairs all over my bedroom floor. I asked to borrow the hoover and the lovely young receptionist offered to do it. It wasn’t her fault but it was absolutely gross that they couldn’t sort that before I arrived.
Also, it’s a shame solo travellers don’t get a discount. It was still £94 for the room alone and £12.50 for the breakfast (the eggs were more like scrambled milk than scrambled eggs and pretty sure the woman did them in the microwave. Gross). Bland and basically just milk. Not how eggs should be cooked.
