Location was excellent. Staff very helpful and polite. Honey comb at breakfast was a nice touch. The room was serviced beautifully each day.
Breakfast was varied but too much emphasis on sugary foods/ cake/biscuits. Better quality bread/local bakery bread would have been nicer than super market bread plus more in the way of whole fresh fruit/ bigger pieces of fruit not tiny chopped bits. Plates were very small. Table tops small. Uncomfortable banquette seats too low for the table. Tables too close together. Cramped seating.
The bedroom although very clean and spacious was very dark in decor and under lit with no specific bright lighting for using the mirrors in both bedroom and bathroom. Hanging space didn't allow for longer dresses. More drawer space would have been helpful. Bedside tables very small with no shelf/drawer. Work top under mirror too narrow especially for those who liked to use their own hairdryer. Bathroom and shower good size but drain in shower continued to smell after complaining and being dealt with. No hooks to hang dressing gown/clothes/ towels etc in bathroom. A shelf under the sink would have been useful to put wash bags when not in use. Pillows very flat and hard.

The apartment described as an annex to the hotel although apparently 200m away. Was shown to our annex which isn’t even in the same road had to navigate cobbled streets & crowds on one of the main pedestrian shopping areas. Not great when having to wheel 20kg suitcases to the room. Not a great option for anyone that isn’t fit and healthy. Fortunately we are. On arrival at what is effectively a self catering apartment found that toilet seat loose, lighting was poor. Blackout curtains but no privacy net. So effectively unless you want to expose yourself to surrounding neighbours had to fumble around until decently dressed before opening blackout curtains to let light in. Unaware that would not get towel replenishment so having to use damp towels over the 2nd & 3rd day. No instructions on how to operate the heated towel rail in bathroom so could have at least dried them out but couldn’t see any isolators or switches to turn on. I’m in the property maintenance business & I couldn’t see anything in the bathroom to give me any indication of how to use it. Even checked on the fuse board and part of the fuse board is not labelled. I feel a little bit letdown by this booking and it is no fault of the staff as they were excellent but also on arrival told we did not book breakfast, it would be a €15 charge for breakfast, glad we didn’t just to save our self’s the journey. We did however go back there to use the facility which was the rooftop bar area staff again were really nice in the bar once we were allowed to go there after proving that we were staying at the hotel. Just not great dynamics.
