The breakfast is superb. That’s usually not the first thing to say, but it stands out. The restaurant is also nice. Of course it’s very central, we walked to the Joan D’Arc museum which is three minutes away.
I wouldn’t mind a coffee machine.

The hotel is literally a few minutes away from the majestic Rouen Cathedral. It is also very close to pedestrian only shopping streets. The staff was friendly and a woman at reception was very helpful to me when I wanted to go to a concert being held at the Rouen Cathedral. You couldn’t get tickets online and it was only a few hours away. She made a few calls and voilà I was enjoying the concert! Nice breakfast buffet. A taxi from the train/ bus station should cost around 15 euros or less. If you take a local bus, you can use your credit card to pay. It was a few stops then a short walk down cobblestone streets.
.
Not a criticism but an observation. If you opt for a room with a balcony you may get a very small balcony with no chair or table and a very partial view of cathedral. You are so close to the cathedral, it really doesn’t matter if you have a balcony. At the same time, even a tiny balcony is good for watching the action on the street below.
