To start with I very much liked the location on Hong Kong Island. In turn, I found my room very comfortable & with more than enough space for what I needed. The bed was very comfortable & there was always plenty of hot water when I needed it. Finally the breakfast waz more than adequate in terms of selection & quality.
Perhaps it would have been useful to have a few more power-points in the room. I also think that it would have been helpful to have a more extensive range of. tea & coffee in the room as well the option of fresh milk in the room on a daily basis as opposed to a minimal amount of coffee creamer . I say that because when I asked for some fresh milk to make a cup of tea, I was told that fresh milk was not available. I found that quite disappointing.

We have twice now stayed for 5++ days, in one of the premier racecourse rooms which are a very generous 28m2 size. Great if you need the additional space and for longer stays. These are rooms with a great and unusually open view for Hong Kong. This girl has a wonderful home away from home atmosphere, with all the facilities you could want, including self operated laundry access and wonderfully attentive staff.
There was some initial confusion as to the room type booked, but when referred to the Manger, this was quickly and correctly resolved. We therefore remain happy to highly recommend this hotel to others.

Location
I have stayed at Dorsett many times, it seems they have changed the hotel into a budget hotel. Jockey suite had a completely empty fridge, not even a teaspoon for your tea/coffee. Very basic and not worth the money. Annoying mainlanders doing their instagram shows in on the smoking verandah all day yelling at their phones and staff refused to do anything about it. Bar shut most of the day. Certainly not what I have come to expect from the Dorsett.

"Location is excellent. Despite the check in being extremely busy I was upgraded to a beautiful room by Anthony.
