It is all about location, looking out over Talyllwyn Lake and the mountains beyond. The road runs between the hotel and the lakeside and it is quite busy / noisy at times but those quiet moments and reflections more than make up for it. The menu in the restaurant is inventive, not just the usual pub grub and service was friendly.
We knew that we were having the last available room in the hotel, described as the smallest room and 'cosy'. It was very small, but comfortable and great value for money.

Lovely location, cosy environment and good food. Staff very friendly and accommodating.
Would have liked hooks on doors for coats and towels.

Breakfast was good but on the second morning it was a very noisy restaurant and my husband's breakfast was cold
The room wasn't as big as I thought it was going to be for a large king-size.
The room had a poor finish and definitely didn't meet the price charged
