On route to Germany for a hip op. The Hilton Hotel was the most, restful stop-over after a three hour bus journey. An overnight stay with a very early morning departure. Just perfect in everyway. The smiling welcome at reception; the caring offer of a large, spotless, comfortable room which catered for my disability. (The bed, due to my condition was a tad too soft).
Then to top it all a simply delicious meal, where again the friendly Hotel staff made one feel at home. Not forgetting the help afforded by the driver of the shuttle bus service. All in all perfection and rejuvenated for the rest of the journey.
Before retirement having worked for many years at management level in the leisure industry. I can, with experience truthfully say the 'Hilton Hotel you have it cracked' - in the best possible way'.

I booked this hotel because it had free shuttle service to and from the airport. Shuttle was easy to find at the airport and ran frequently and on time.
Amenities in the bathroom were pretty basic - generic liquid soap and shampoo/conditioner in reusable containers. For the price of the room I would have liked at least a small bar of soap. There was no kettle, no coffee or tea , no wee biscuit. It was pretty bare bones.

Shuttle to the hotel was handy. Nice rooms.
£50 for the dog is a bit excessive and another £50 against any damage that takes a week to come back. Also you have to give your details to get internet access.

the newly refurbished room was larger in size than before, the light up mirror was fun to look at applying my makeup and the bathroom was functional and clean. the breakfast was ok.
no mini blueberry muffins for breakfast. the dinner menu was expensive.
