We had an amazing experience from the minute we arrived. Daniel our driver and Harris at front desk were very professional, courteous and very friendly. We greatly appreciate it!!!
The only small thing was it has no a/c and it was a little warm the day we arrived, we had to open the window and mosquitos were bad while we slept.

Staff were amazing in all areas .. Front desk, restaurant, bar. The location is perfect .. ground floor room with the balcony facing the sea was a perfect setting.
Rooftop bar closed on Mondays .. it just a lovely setting that you want to enjoy everyday on holiday

Location could not be better, with views of the Adriatic from the tiny but adequate sitting balcony. Other important sites are within walking distance of the hotel, including the long climb to the city walls.
The "VIP" on call shuttle service to the remote parking garage was excellent, with outstanding service given by the valets. (There is no overnight parking for rental vehicles within the city center.)
Well, it's unavoidable, but the cost of parking at 24 euros a night is a hard lump to swallow. Note though that Hotel Piran does have the on call shuttle mentioned above, and they offer a discount from the usual charge of 31 euros, which includes in and out privileges. Follow carefully the isntructions provided by hotel staff about how the parking ticket system works (on your way out, always pressing the cancel button before inserting the ticket given to you by hotel staff in exchange for the ticket you took each time to get into the garage).

The location is excellent, with convenient access to the waterfront. The breakfast was delicious, with a great variety of fresh options to choose from.
The lifts were not working during our stay. We paid a premium price for the hotel and were initially given a room on the 4th floor, despite none of the lifts being operational. What was particularly disappointing was that the staff did not seem apologetic about the inconvenience.
We asked to be moved and were eventually given a room on the 1st floor with a nice balcony, which we appreciated, although the balcony itself could have been cleaner.
Another inconvenience was the lack of power outlets next to the bed. This was quite frustrating, as nowadays you expect to be able to charge and use your devices while in bed.
The wine opener provided in the room was also very poor quality and made of plastic. It broke while we were trying to open a bottle of wine, so we had to take the bottle to the restaurant. Surprisingly, we were told that they only had one proper wine opener in the entire hotel.
Overall, these are details you would not expect when paying a premium price. The room change was appreciated, but the hotel could definitely improve its maintenance, amenities, cleanliness, and the way staff handle guest inconveniences.
