Facilities were out of order

Love this place, have stayed here many times. Tucked away from the busier areas of the Algarve. Great staff, huge comfortable rooms and beautiful setting.

If you don't like narrow lanes and remote location this may bother you but personally I think this is one of its strengths

The rooms are large and well furnished. The staff are nice and helpful. The property is quiet even when events such as weddings are hosted. The nearby seashore is spectacular. Breakfast is delightful, with a lot of variety, even if the same every day. The restaurant is on the expensive side but the cataplana is to die for and is big enough for two.

The road to the property is one lane, had to back a few times to yield. The nearby beach is small and is infested with seaweed like many other beaches in western Algarve, so the two saltwater pools on the property were very useful.

The breakfast was amazing, the dinner at the restaurant was really good too. The staff at the restaurant and the kids club were very kind. The location is the biggest plus, even without a car we had a great time and it’s very easy to catch an Uber or Bolt to go somewhere.

The room was a huge disappointment, we knew from the photos and reviews that it would be a bit dated, but it was worse than expected. There were a lot of ants as well as some small white insects all over the chairs in our kitchen - they seem to have been book lice, harmless to humans, but still not nice to see in a hotel room. Some of the furniture should have been replaced a long time ago. Unfortunately the resort is not what we would have expected from a five star stay.
