Great hotel in a quiet location

The staff were excellent. Very friendly and helpful when we needed something. The wind was terrible (2 storms in the UK at the time). Our first room window was letting in lots of air and was noisy with it. The staff were quick to respond and moved us to a room where the window was fine. I also drink decaf and there was none on the room but again, the staff were quick to bring me some. Couldn’t fault the staff.
There was some cotton pads left in the bathroom bin, a small (dead) centipede in one of the beds (we brushed it out), my duvet cover was ripped slightly at the seam and the bathroom fan couldn’t be switched off and it was fairly loud. Luckily I had ear plugs. Wouldn’t bother everyone but I’m a light sleeper.

The bathroom is well designed and the shower is easy to use and the hot water almost instant.
I have only had the breakfast on one visit and I didn't think it good value for money. The food on offer was not replenished quickly.

Room - I had made a request for a specific room that we'd stayed in before. To be honest I didn't really expect it to be read, let alone actioned.....but it was, Very impressive.
We would have liked the room to be bit warmer and couldn't work out the electronic control panel.
