The location of The Grove is excellent, easily accessible, and provides ample parking, which was particularly convenient during our autumn stay. The staff were exceptionally friendly, though notably overstretched during the evening service, with a single gentleman responsible for managing both the bar and the restaurant.
While the accommodation was comfortable, the room itself was below standard regarding cleanliness and maintenance, requiring far more than cosmetic updates. The radiator was heavily accumulated with dust and lint, the white net curtain exhibited signs of mould and required laundering, and one of the bedside lamps was non-functional. Furthermore, the bathtub was stained and poorly cleaned. Although the stay was generally comfortable, the property requires significant attention to its housekeeping and upkeep.
