As described, comfortable clean, good decor and a very cheap bar attached to the hotel. Close to town centre and everything. Parking onsite or on road

The porter/receptionist / barman was really helpful. He was concerned about me leaving my motorbike on the car park, so he let me securely store it in their delivery area. Loved this.
The place looked like it had once been a top hotel. Hosting weddings, conferences, functions and dinners.
Unfortunately, most of those rooms looked like store rooms now.
The place looks tired and massively in need of renovations. The decor is old and faded. The white paintwork is yellow. It feels like a ghost hotel.
The room was at least clean but in need of decorating.
