Villa Il Fedino

Having travelled extensively and stayed in countless hotels and guesthouses around the world, I can confidently say that my experience at Villa Il Fedino was, without a doubt, the most exceptional I have ever had. First and foremost, I must mention Lorenzo and his wonderful parents, whose genuine passion for their home and extraordinary hospitality made my stay truly unforgettable. Their warmth, kindness, and attentiveness went far beyond anything I could have expected. Throughout my stay, I felt genuinely cared for, and I had the pleasure of sharing numerous fascinating and heartfelt conversations with them. It is rare to encounter such sincere hospitality, and even rarer to feel so completely at home while being thousands of miles away from it. The villa itself is nothing short of extraordinary. Its authenticity is simply unparalleled, and every room has a character and charm unlike anything I have encountered before. You can almost feel the centuries of history embedded in its walls, yet the property seamlessly combines this timeless atmosphere with modern comforts and amenities. The attention to detail is remarkable, and the way the villa preserves its historical identity without compromising on contemporary convenience is genuinely impressive. The breakfast deserves a special mention as well — absolutely outstanding and a wonderful way to begin each day. And then there is San Casciano itself, a true hidden gem in the heart of Tuscany that deserves a place on anyone’s itinerary. With its breathtaking views, welcoming locals, exquisite wines, and an abundance of charming shops and restaurants, the town has an irresistible appeal. Every little street seems to invite exploration, and it is almost impossible to resist the temptation to discover every corner, visit every shop, and try every restaurant. Looking back, I can say without the slightest hesitation that this was the most memorable and rewarding stay of my life.

It’s a beautiful villa with hosts that make you feel right at home! We had both apartments and a room for the entire family and Lorenzo was kind enough to also allocate for us some private family space that was very much appreciated.

We loved everything

What a wonderful place from start to finish. The family that run the House were lovely and could not be more helpful. The staff on site were superb too. The breakfast on the veranda overlooking the countryside was a joy both from what we had to eat and what we had to see. Lorenzo organised a wine tasting in a nearby Vineyard that was wonderful and provided a route for us to take, to get a good feel for local area that I would recommend to everybody. Thanks to Alexandra, Lorenzo and his father for making us so welcome.
