The colonial building is spectacular and the grounds are beautifully kept
As a beach resort the beach front should be kept rubbish free.

Beautiful grounds, comfortable room, great staff and lovely pool with good beach access
The food was very disappointing and I had food poisoning for the last day which lasted several more days. A great resort spoilt by boring and overcooked food and in one case, food that was off ( it was the chicken burger)

We always love this hotel… and have been coming regularly for 20 years. unfortunately the extensive renovations impacted us a bit too much this stay as our room was exposed to the end of the clock where renovations were at their loudest.
The renovations!!! I was aware when we booked but not the extent. I was thinking that once we were in the midst of it that some offers could have been suggested such as complimentary dinners… visits to the spa etc. in the end I asked for a dinner and the staff were very happy to provide this, but maybe this should not have been on me to ask.
