Location; room was good for older kids (upstairs from the adults); very clean; good breakfast.
Minor: the sliding bathroom door was in disrepair.

We really liked the breakfast as it was delicious and coffee was amazing. Location is great as it is a few minutes walk away from the very center and Zilverpand. The hot tub was powerful in our Lovers Room, it was so great, we could relax inside thanks to it as it was raining most of the time. The hotel looks really beautiful, it is in an old mansion.
The smell at the reception and inside the hotel was unbearable, we think it smelled like damp (potentially problem with drains?).
We were not given instructions on how to park prior to the check in, so ended up stressed as the gate was shut and had to leave our car on hazard lights on a busy road and head in rain to the reception. We tried to call the reception from our car but no one was answering. Receptionists were polite and friendly but appeared nervous/stressed every day and in a rush all the time, it made us feel a little but stressed. The heating in our Lovers Room did not work, so we had to use noisy Aircon to heat up the room. It was tricky as the room is stand alone tower battered by the wind. No space in the room to hang the clothes or store clothes. Bed was too high and its platform sticks out, so each time you try to get up you either hit your legs or knees.
