The breakfast was the usual tasty mix of hot and cold buffet items that Ibis hotels usually supply, with Belgian waffles and mini pancakes as a local speciality - a nice touch. I like the fact that the hotel had a small evening food service at the bar, too. Perfect for a late arrival when you just want to eat and relax. My room was small, being a single, but was comfortable and everything I expected. The hotel is quite central and great for the shops, as well as attractions like St Bavos and the Het Gravensteen.
The street outside had been dug up for tram improvements. This is obviously just a temporary inconvenience, but you do.have to check more carefully to see which tram stop to use.
