The wifi that our luxury chalet was equipped with did however not work 😏

The place itself is really nice, it has a pool, play area, a really nice restaurant with good food and the place is secure.
When we got there the staff had no recollection of ny early check-in, the were not friendly and had a slight attitude of annoyance towards us, we had to wait an hour before we got to our chalet, the convenient store was close the entire weekend, the staff at the restaurant was the same problem, we weren't greeted at the door and had to awkwardly wait for someone to take us to our seat, they were not friendly and again made us feel uncomfortable.

Spacious unit. Bed and pillows comfortable. Bath with jets. Someone available to carry luggage uphill. Wonderful views. Close to nature. Friendly and helpful receptionists.
1. Not being prepared for walking on wooden path with steep steps carrying own luggage - quite a distance. Fortunately staff arranged someone to help. 2. The kitchen and bathroom floors urgently need attention. It is stained, it absorbs smells - smelled the bathroom the moment I stepped in - it didn't go away. The type of floor definitely not suitable for a kitchen or bathroom. 3. I reported leaking showerhead on the first morning after first night's stay. The kettle too had a problem with the lid. Also reported faulty light above desk in bedroom as well as faulty plug underneath same desk. None attended to. By the time I left 26 hours later, still not attended to - no feedback received. 4. Had to carry all towels to reception (in plastic bags provided on the first day) when checking out. I was one person with EIGHT towels - most not used at all. Reception was adament that this needed to be done. I do understand control etc. but the bags were not checked while I was at reception. 5. One is paying a R600 deposit upon arrival. This is refunded if everything is in order - upon checkout. NOBODY checked if everything was in order - not even the towels were checked. I received a receipt for the refund immediately. 6. Wanted to walk on beach. Was strongly discouraged by staff - safety risks. 7. I was reminded by the office lady that the resort is at a nature reserve. All good, but why is there then plastic bags, bottles and other garbage in a small pond? I was standing there, enjoying the sound of the frogs between the reeds. But the pond is SO dirty, I cannot think that these frogs or any plant and animal life will survive. 8. Would have loved to open windows and doors for fresh air - but risk in terms of monkeys entering is too high. Plastic barriers/mesh are not in all cases fitted properly, so monkeys will still be able to come in.
