The hotel is truly lovely. The town was full of brides, and a public holiday (dia de Hispanidad) meant difficulty getting restaurant tables for 6 or any parking for 2 cars in the recommended carpark or on the road. We ate in the restaurant virtually next door, but you cannot reserve- go early. Breakfast very nice. Our twin room was fairly dark and at the back overlooking roof tiles, but in the heat this was an advantage. Excellent olive oil shops with at least 30 varieties you can taste.
You can only unload at hotel. The parador is a public building, so tourists wonder in and out- lock your room! If you want to visit the Aqua synagogue book ahead. Likewise the palace which has entry only via guided tours which are exclusively in Spanish.

Right in the centre of the old town of Úbeda, but with free parking nearby. Comfortable beds and nice bathroom. Our ground floor room opened out into enclosed garden. We had a delicious meal in the restaurant and enjoyed entertaining our friends in the bar in the central courtyard.

Our room and courtyard were excellent
Breakfast was uninspiring. The hallway to our room smelled of mildew. The interior entrance sitting area was freezing
