Villager Motel & Glen Manor Estate

After reading some reviews about this motel, I have to say I was a bit worried. But, I ended up being pleasantly surprised. First of all...location...location..location!! It's within walking distance of everything you need. A great coffee shop right across the parking lot... Honestly dont recall the name, but it has a big Expresso sign hanging on the side of the building. Restaurants everywhere, visitor center with all the brochures you need right on the main street.. Watkins Glen State park right there. We had a party of 3 in a room with 2 queen beds on the 2nd fl. Still had enough room to move about. The room was clean, Had a refrigerator and microwave... Everything we needed. The heated pool... a nice surprise.. had it all to ourselves. They did have a continental breakfast with juices, coffee, tea, water, cereals, bagels, etc.. Minimal, but there for a quick bite. Parking was ample... Staff was friendly. Only thing I wish I would have know is that you cant get into the office til someone shows up. Wanted to get ice for the room, and had a bit of a wait on the day we were leaving... but, not a dealbreaker. I would definitely go back again.

Hard to get luggage up the steps and across the front as they have chairs set up in front of each door.

The location was great for downtown, particularly for the vintage car festival. People at the front desk were very nice though.

It was extremely dated, the floor seemed unsafe as felt like there were holes under the carpet near the bed and bathroom. Porch steps also seemed unsafe. Overpriced.

Functional bathtub! Helpful suggestions re: parking appropriate to my circumstances. Quiet room.

No art on the walls.
