Great location in the lovely city of Lewes. Lewes Castle and Priory Ruins are a short walk away, as is the wonderful Harvey’s Brewery. The Dorset also has a lovely pub with very good food and wonderful cask ales. Room was clean with a comfortable bed. Perfect for a solo traveler.
Keep in mind that this is a very old building with modern conveniences added, so rooms maybe on the small size.

Great location and overall pleasant ambience.
Overall a pleasant stay. Rooms were a bit tatty with broken door frame, rickety shower stand, missing bathroom shelf and small uncomfortable bed and, being just above a pub, the music was loud until 11, but peaceful after that.
