This cozy 3BR/3BA 3rd floor residence has a stone tile entry that leads to a spacious open floor plan complete with a comfy sectional sofa, wood burning fireplace, and large flat screen TV. Rustic log furniture in the bedrooms lend a ski lodge feel and the master bathroom is graced with a beautifully tiled walk in shower. From your private balcony, you will catch a glimpse of the lifts and base area across the street. Not far from your front door is the outdoor hot tub and common grill with a dining table overlooking Mt Crested Butte. Full laundry facilities in unit. Sleeps 8 comfortably with a King in the master bedroom, a king in the master guest room, and 2 sets of bunk beds in the guest room. Outdoor entry access.
Groups and families love the Plaza for its convenient location just 100 yards from the ski area's main lift, the Silver Queen. In one short walk, guests can hit the slopes or take in the action at the base area of Crested Butte Mountain Resort. Kids love the Adventure Center (mini-golf or rock climbing, anyone?), and parents love the shops and base area restaurants (hello, happy hour!). The Plaza is also unique for its condominium setting with hotel style services. Spacious two- and three- bedroom suites include everything you need to be independent, while a restaurant and bar, covered parking and two hot tubs provide all the benefits of a hotel.

Could use a bit of updating of finishes to get it out of the 1980's but overall a pleasant stay.

We have rented VRBOs many times in Crested Butte for skiing, and this is the first one to fall so short of expectations. The "view" is of the back of 2-3 other buildings including the dumpster areas. You have to work to find one window where you can actually see part of the mountain. When we checked in, the front door lock broke, so I lost several hours of skiing the first day waiting for the maintenance repairman (he was very responsive luckily). Dryer had a note that it was broken and new one on order - really wish we had known before we arrived so we could have packed more clothes. We rent a condo purposefully for the ability to cook and wash clothes so this was a big miss and bummed we were not informed beforehand. The second day the front door lock broke again and locked us out in the snow for a bit. The WIFI was named differently than the instructions given to us at check in and after asking about it in VRBO messaging, I got a response back to call the front desk about a day after asking. No instructions on where the ski locker was, and ski locker key was missing. Location was fairly close to skiing - about a 10 min walk to Red Lady and Silver Queen lifts. Second shower did not work. We made the best of it and enjoyed our time together but wish this had met our expectations and price tag. Front desk was responsive to most of our issues, but there is a disconnect with the rental company, Red Awning, that manages this property. We will not stay here again.
