The staff were lovely and friendly.
The breakfast was only warm and not hot so was worried about getting sick so unfortunately left the warm bits. The fruit was lovely and had nice ambience.

Lovely small hotel, intimate setting. About a 15 min walk to the beach. Our room, with balcony overlooking canal, was spacious and bed really comfortable. Large bathroom and great shower. Breakfast was amazing, such a great variety of local food every day, and so much of it! And had the most amazing massage, which I would highly recommend. But main thing was the staff, who were really friendly and really attentive to all our needs.

They have cycles which you can borrow, but maybe make it clear there is a small fee to pay at outset.

Our rooms were lovely with big 4 poster beds and very clean well equipped bathrooms. Staff were lovely. Breakfasts good. Pool was nice and clean.
Reception areas are a bit tatty and we were worried when we first arrived but the rooms were lovely so all good.

Hotel itself is nice. The location, architecture and cleanliness is good.
We booked this hotel specifically to make use of its wellness and spa facilities, so unfortunately our experience was disappointing.
Before our stay, we messaged the hotel to arrange a massage. At check-in, we also asked about booking the appointment and were told that there was no need to reserve a fixed time because massages were available throughout the day. When we later confirmed that we were ready for the massage, we were then told that we would have to wait 2 hours and 30 minutes as they were fully booked. We were also told by other members of staff that this was our fault for not confirming the appointment, despite having contacted the hotel in advance and specifically asking about it at check-in. Had we had clear guidance we would have fixed the time happily.
This was particularly frustrating as the spa and wellness facilities were one of the main reasons we chose this hotel, and it left a very unpleasant impression at the end of our time in Sri Lanka. The massage, after a long wait, itself was not very relaxing due to the loud AC, no music and a bright light.
The breakfast situation was also disappointing. We had an early check-out and were told that a takeaway breakfast would be provided. We had confirmed this in advance and again with staff at check in with our exact check out time, but no breakfast was provided when we checked out.
Ultimately, the main reasons we chose this hotel were not fulfilled.
