About this cottage rental
Guests are sure to enjoy a memorable vacation in this fully furnished, 1 bedroom and 1 bath cottage, 30 miles west of Milwaukee. This is a cottage, while not fancy, has the complete rustic and cozy feeling that any outdoors person will be excited to stay. Come and join us for fishing, boating, swimming, canoeing, kayaking and enjoy a fire by the lake or a fire inside on cold nights. Comfortable for sleeping 4-6. A number of stairs lead to the cottage that is situated 60 feet from the lake. There is an area for the kids to play in a small sandy area onshore. See photos and don't expect a beach.

Quiet, relaxing pet friendly cabin. Great hiking nearby. Lots of non-motorized equipment available to use on the lake. Downtown Dousman is small and quaint. Oconomowoc is a 15-minute drive for restaurants and shopping.

Lovely place. I had to leave early due to family emergency but I really enjoyed my time there. The host was extremely friendly and accommodating. I would add to the description that to get to the house one needs to be able to negotiate a number of concrete steps from the parking spot. There are good handrails but it could be a limiting factor for some.

We arrived just before dark to this property and had difficulty finding it. Unfortunately, the host was unavailable to help us and we were stressed. I felt embarrassed because I made the reservation for my family and here we were in the car trying to decode the map, looking at the photos of the place trying to figure out which house it was. Luckily we found it. The place itself was cute. A few things that could have been better (besides timely communication from the host): a hand towel in the bathroom, extra toilet paper near the toilet, and fixing the trundle bed (it would not pop up on one end so she just kept it in the low position). Fireplace was nice, the main bed was comfy.
