Good location, parking available and accommodation is quiet as rooms are in a building separate to the main pub.
Bar food was good quality and reasonably priced.
Breakfast did not happen. Was told on arrival because we had booked through booking .com there was an extra charge which was ok. Agreed a time but when we arrived the doors were not open. Staff member on breakfast was running late, at least one other set of guests left as well. Room was a little cold and no way of bringing heating on.

The property is situated by a picturesque green in the village. It looks stunning from outside and has a lovely character. It has parking which is great. I stayed in the loft room in the property adjacent to the main restaurant/ bar building. It was a lovely en suite room and the bed was one of the comfortable I’ve slept in.
I didn’t have an evening meal but had breakfast twice. The food is also excellent.
The staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful
It’s conveniently close to the A167/A1 and would be a great base for holiday makers
There wasn’t anything I didn’t like.

Good location , easy parking , excellent hot breakfast on second morning with very good customer service from our host at breakfast .
Rooms were clean .
The bed was beyond awful ! It is old and needs replacing . We were not able to get a good nights sleep and left very tired after two nights . If we had been staying longer we would have looked for an alternative hotel . We were in a deluxe room and didn’t feel it was at all value for money given the poor bed and mattress.
No hot breakfast provided on Monday morning which we don’t think was explained in the details , although a cold alternative was provided in the lounge area .
