The location was perfect, the courtyard of the building was beautiful. The home was a good size for 3 people. We even used the kitchen to cook a meal, and having a coffeemaker was nice (we bought coffee in town). We did laundry too which was helpful (but no dryer so be prepared to air dry). Having a parking spot was great. The whole town was very walkable from the home. It is a very cute home and we had a lovely stay in Amboise.
The biggest complaint I have is that the beds were not comfortable for us, and none of us slept well. We all agreed they need to be replaced. The only toilet was downstairs which was a little challenging, as the stairs are a bit tricky/narrow/steep. The upstairs bathroom is large, but taking a bath/shower was a little tricky as there is no shower curtain, and only a handheld shower. If you want to take a bath, its fine. If you prefer a shower like us, you have to be very careful to avoid spraying water everywhere. These inconveniences did not prevent us from enjoying our stay and I would consider staying again if they got new beds. I would not recommend this place for anyone with mobility issues because of the stairs and the bathroom situation, but it was fine for us.
