About this house rental
A typical Tuscan house in the hilly area of Cortona, about 3 km from the center of Cortona. It’s secluded. And it’s equipped with everything you need to enjoy your vacation. It’s my family’s home, where all the important events took place: my parents’ wedding, my uncles’ weddings, my grandparents’ celebrations with their grandchildren and cousins, birthdays, and parties with friends. It’s a home that radiates happiness. It’s surrounded by woods and olive trees; in front of the house, beneath the grapevine pergola, it overlooks the vast valley with Cortona and the sanctuary of Santa Margherita. In the evening, it’s aglow with lights that create a beautiful scene, and it’s a pleasure for me to admire it all.

Our stay at the villa was relaxing, and peaceful. A great central location for the Tuscan area and Cortana. We walked the trails, visited and emerged ourself into the history and surrounding countryside of beauty. Surrounded by olive trees, beautiful wildflowers and the charm of the villa gives you a true feel for the culture.

The setting was beautiful. It was great sipping wine on the patio in the evenings and just looking into the valley below and towards Cortona Italy. It was very private and peaceful. Great for sipping coffee in the morning.

Beautiful home at the top of the mountain. We had a Great Month long stay. Quiet with beautiful view of the Valley below. The home is at the end of a Long gravel road just above the town of Cortona. Family and friends joined us at different times and the location served as an Excellent base for wanderings around the countryside. Irene and her parents, Fiorella & Luciano, were Excellent Hosts who were Very Helpful and Attentive to any requests we had. They were Awesome!!
The patio was excellent for enjoying the view over morning coffee or evening wine while enjoying the Sunsets. If your looking for the classic Tuscan experience, This is the place.

This Villa was amazing, Irene was always in touch through the whole process. The villa is every bit as stunning as in the pictures. You pass Cortona and drive up a old Roman gravel road. (You will need a car for this property, I recommend a suv type vehicle). When you reach to top of the hill sits the villa, overlooking the whole valley. We were greeted with wine and olive oil. The villa consists of an upstairs where bedrooms, bathroom, and sitting room are located. Downstairs is the kitchen, living room, with terrace and garden with ample tables and chairs for entertaining or to sit and enjoy the sunset. Cortona is 10 minutes down the road and is easily located for day trips to other towns. I would highly recommend this location to anyone visiting Italy and hope to come back.
