Lovely home in the country. We had a large room overlooking the front yard with a very large bathroom en suite. It was very quiet. The home was comfortable and welcoming. We had wonderful conversations with our host Susan and the breakfast was plentiful and delicious. It was the perfect stopoff half way between Galway and Dublin.
We found the 5pm check-in to be late in the day. However there was a nice retro cafe (also included an interesting museum) just next door where we spent a little time as we waited for check-in.

The Shepherd’s Hut was charming, clean and equipped with everything we needed to be comfortable.
No breakfast offered for guests in the Shepherd’s Huts - only for guests in the main house, and there was nowhere locally to get breakfast.

The shepherds hut was very comfortable and quite new, but the facilities around the hut and area are not what we expected.
I realise the glamping/shepherds hut venture is in its initial stages but we were a bit disapointed in the area where the hut was situated. We were so glad to have The Rustic Inn pub/restaurant only half a mile away where we spent most of the evening and the canal walk close by. The campsite could do with a bit of work up-grading the paths and child play areas and perhaps a focal decking point for adults to sit and meet. A bit over priced at the minute comparing to what you get in a hotel.
