About this house rental
Update as of May 2024: The home has been completely painted inside and out. All new LED lights installed. New outside lights for your safety. Deep cleaning throughout including carpets and sofa. New mattresses and box springs where needed. New blinds where needed. We spent7 weeks on the home insuring everything is throughly cleaned and nice for your vacation! Perfect family getaway within walking distance to all Avalon has to offer! Whether going to the beach, going to one of Avalon's great eateries, shopping, golfing, boating, snorkeling/diving, parasailing, or just sightseeing, this is the vacation home for you!
A beautiful mediterranean style home, with a warm and modern beach style interior. The master bedroom has a Cal King bed, fireplace, and deck.
The second bedroom upstairs has two twins and a full.
There is a full bathroom in between the bedrooms. The washer and dryer are also on this level.
The first floor bedroom is a queen with an additional full bath. There is also a queen sofa sleeper with a new Cool Comfort mattress as of 7/2021.
The living room, kitchen, and dining area are open and great for entertaining. There is another fireplace on this floor.
The kitchen is fully stocked and the barbecue is located right out the sliding doors.
We provide all linens and towels. Guests always seem to leave behind beach chairs but, bring your beach towels!
The home has Directv with the new Genie system. There are televisions in each bedroom, as well as the living room.
Please note, this home does have central heat but does not have A/C! My rates would reflect that!
At this time, we do not have WIFI. Until it is mastered, I will not provide it.
This is a great home and well cared for, owner run. No hill climbing and centrally located. We do not provide a golf cart for this home.

Amy was great to work with very communicative. The locations was a 7-10 min to the main boardwalk straight down Sumner Rd and 4-5 min to Von’s grocery store and the location where you meet a lot of the land excursions offered on the island. We had a great time.

It was great to be able to have 3 bedrooms and allow 8 people in the unit. Emails to host went well. Advertised dishwasher did not work...while texting to Island person, he found out that the owner knew that there had been a water leak and it did not work. We would have used other dishes/glasses had we known in advance. (Island person showed up to fix it without notice)The day before arriving with little kids, we found out there was not useable washer/dryer, as a part was missing for the install.There were ants in kitchen, bedrooms, and no spray, so we used cucumber on the walls, sink, etc.The upstairs bathroom has a jacuzzi tub which sounded good, but it was so deep and high, none of us could safely use, and there were no bars, etc. The downstairs bedroom had a great bathtub shower attached. The problem was that the bed was set at an angle and there was a frame that stuck out 3 inches and everyone hit their legs/feet on it trying to get to the bathroom.There were ceiling fans in the master bedroom (great room), but the kitchen/livingroom one did not work. We called Island person who said it had worked before. We tried the batteries and remote from upstairs to no avail. The Island person showed up with new batteries, but remote was corroded and did not work. My husband took remote apart, shaved corrosion off, and it worked. Kids walking barefoot on arrival in unit black feet.A bit of a walk to get to unit, but near Vons. Price was good for July.
