An absolutely outstanding stay at Villa CocoMar. Great food, hospitality was warm and gracious. Wonderful staff communication great with owner and Mgr and did I mention then food! Set and hospitality was unmatched for my entire family of 30 people.

We came to the Dominican for a family reunion of 22 adults and kids. The property is absolutely gorgeous and being steps from the ocean priceless. The constant wind throughout the day kept everyone cool and comfortable despite the Dominican heat and humidity. The staff were amazing. Starting with Dean who patiently answered every one of my emailed questions months I advance of the trip—always kind and informative with each response. Juan, the property manager, handled all of our guests’ questions and requests with ease. He even took some people to town himself to assist with grocery shopping and restaurant recommendations. But there really is no need to go out to eat as the dinners prepared by the chefs were out of this world delicious—with attention paid to the ones in our group who are gluten free and vegan. Amazing!! Marleni was so kind—not only did she make drinks and smoothies for the group, she also helped with the one-year-old giving the child’s parents a break. Housekeeping kept everything pristine and even did multiple loads of laundry for us. There was a roach found in a room or two, but quite frankly not unexpected when staying on an island with palms. We all had a great time in the pool and ocean—they even provided pool toys and sunscreen. Little touches like that were so appreciated! The property is so spacious allowing everyone their own beautiful rooms and places to lounge throughout the day. We will certainly plan a repeat reunion here!

Our stay at Villa Coco Mar was fantastic! The grounds are kept well and the property is beautiful. I stayed in the second building and had my own outdoor shower which I thought was pretty nice. The bidet didn’t really work on the toilet but the rest of the room was clean and comfortable with its own AC. Plenty of space in the room and the bed was comfortable. we had 19 people in our group and this was the perfect place to feel relaxed. Most of our time was spent by the pool and the kitchen area. The sauna was great and the pool was perfect. We had a little trouble with the hot tub as it would not get very warm during our stay. It was also hard to get in for the older people because of the big step. There were also no railings to get into the pool or hot tub so that was a minus for our people that had trouble walking. Being right on the ocean was the main reason why I chose this spot. It was so nice to just go out the gate and step onto the sandy beach! The real gem is the people that make it such a great experience! My first contact was with Dean, the owner. He was very helpful in answering all the questions that we had. When we arrived at the resort, Juan the manager was there to greet us and he coordinated everything such as taxi travel and food. Juana, Paulino, Daniela, and Marielin made DELICIOS food every day and Marleni kept our drinks full! The rest of the staff was so nice to us too and kept us relaxed, clean, and safe. We loved it here and hope to go back!

We first made contact with the host well over a year and a half ago pre-COVID. They’ve been incredibly accommodating and our party of 20 adults and 5 kids have a fantastic staff to support all of us. We finally went on our trip in October and it was even better than the pictures or website describe.
This place is a once-in-a-lifetime rental. We rode horses on the beach, enjoyed a private bonfire on the beach on our last night. Juana cooked the most incredible food for each meal, tailored to all of our group’s omnivore and vegan preferences.
Merian’s massages were incredible. She was extremely professional and about half of the adults took her up for massage. Knowing what I know now, I’d book her time as soon as I arrive, and as much as I could throughout the week after. Incredible!
Juan is an incredible property manager. He coordinated everything and was nothing but friendly and helpful.
The property is drop dead gorgeous. There are plenty of places to walk, hammocks to sleep in, and open dining and plenty of room for a dance party.
On our last night Juan booked us a DJ, professional photography crew, helped me order a beautiful custom cake for my wife’s big birthday and we decorated the venue immaculately.
Thank you Dean, Juan, Juana, and all of the staff in this awesome resort. We hope to see you again!
