We had such a lovely stay at Green Cottage - the Tree Fern Cottage for two nights . Raymond, our host, welcomed us personally and even surprised us with a thoughtful gift and some essentials to help us settle in, which was a really nice touch. The villas are beautiful, tastefully decorated and very comfortable. The surroundings are so peaceful and quiet, making it the perfect place to relax and unwind.

We spent two lovely nights at Green Cottage – Muesanda and wished we could have stayed longer! The villa is beautifully designed and full of character, set among gorgeous tropical gardens with peaceful walking paths and a lovely swimming pool. It’s a wonderful place to unwind, yet perfectly located for exploring Chamarel and the surrounding national park. Raymond’s warm hospitality made our stay even more special.

If you are looking for an authentic, peaceful retreat surrounded by nature, Green Cottage Chamarel is a absolute gem. Situated right in the heart of the lush Chamarel mountains, it offers a refreshing contrast to the coastal resort stay.
Setting & Views: The cottage is tucked away in a quiet, secluded location with breathtaking views of the surrounding valley and tropical forest. The peacefulness, fresh mountain air, and sound of birds make it an exceptional place to unwind.
The Accommodation: The house is beautifully decorated, incredibly spacious, and exceptionally clean. It is fully equipped with every amenity you could possibly need—including a great kitchen, a pool, a fire pit for cool evenings, and barbecue facilities under the stars.
Location: Ideally located for exploring the highlights of southwestern Mauritius (such as the Seven Coloured Earth Geopark, Chamarel Waterfall, and Ebony Forest), while still feeling like a completely private sanctuary.
Hospitality: The host’s warm welcome and attention to detail make you feel right at home from the moment you arrive.
An incredible nature escape and a unforgettable place to stay in Mauritius. Highly recommended!
