The Leucadia Beach Hideout is sadly no longer a short term rental. The hideout is available for 28 days or longer. Give us a call for a good deal!
A long term rental is available to one person. You will need to fill out a rental application, credit and background check required, must be employed, no pets or smoking in the hideout or on property.
A private fully furnished upstairs studio apartment attached to private home with its own pathway and private entrance. The hideout sits on top of a garage, so is private. The most comfortable bed you will ever sleep on! A pillow-top Sterns and Foster Cal-King mattress, soft, comfy linens and comforter, full bathroom with shower, toiletries and hair dryer, toiletries and kitchen. Balcony with umbrella table and chairs. Perfect get-a-way for one person looking for a place close to the beaches (on east side of Highway 101, one the west side of the 5 freeway).
Local things to do: Relax on the beach, surfing, boogie boarding, walking the local beaches, bicycling on Famous Hwy 101, golfing at world renowned courses, hiking the beach reserves. Local delicious food restaurants, coffee houses, winery and pubs. Lots of shopping in funky Leucadia and Old Encinitas.
The Leucadia Beach Hideout has a large smart TV, faux fireplace, Wi-Fi, large dresser, large desk, coffee maker, toaster oven, microwave, stove and bathroom with shower.

Debbie and Travis are excellent hosts and their place is amazing. They have everything you need to come from anywhere and have an amazing time in the Encinitas / San Diego area. I would highly recommend this place and I would personally come to back to their place.

Fantastic place to stay! Clean and comfortable. Easily drivable to several nice restaurants and beaches nearby. Would definitely recommend.

Clean, surprising quiet place to stay with a nice breeze off the ocean. There is a RR track between you and the ocean, so I wouldn't say the beach is walkable, but there are many great beaches within a 10 minute drive. Many extra amenities. Great bed, extra plugs by the bed (could use an electric plug on the desk :) ) Cable TV, two types of coffee makers with coffee. Bathroom has extras personal items, lots of hooks to hang things, which is great. Small closet but they have extra luggage racks. A place outside to wash off sand, and extra beach items. The entry stairs are real if you are hauling in large luggage. I am not fond of parking on the street, but you are actually closer to the unit on the street than a lot of condo parking lots. Houses/Apt are close but it is fairly private although there is a large picture window without any blinds, but you are on the second floor. Hosts were great.

This is a good location for a 2-3 day stay, there weren't any extra garbage bags so it was a bit difficult being there for a week. All the spices had expired in 2017-2022 including honey and other cooking materials, when you walked in there was a smell like no one had been up there in a while to air it out or potentially mold. Not a bad location, quite, private.
