About this house rental
This is a 1566 sq. ft. home with large rooms. It's centrally located to Acadia National Park, the other island towns, and Bar Harbor. There are 2 bedrooms and a full bath with jacuzzi tub upstairs and a large open kitchen/living area and full bath downstairs. Granite window sills and countertops are beautiful. We provide everything you need - all cookware, dishes, linens, etc. Microwave, toaster, coffee maker, washer and dryer. There is Direct TV and WiFi. Outside is a quiet wooded area with private deck and BBQ Grill.

We chose this property for overall price given the number of bedrooms and bathrooms given the possibility another couple and their adult daughter might have joined us - they ended up not being able to - so my husband and I had an abundance of room! The bedrooms were spacious and the one we slept in (king room) was VERY comfortable. (Both bedrooms upstairs). We didn’t use the kitchen much but in searching for a kitchen towel to dry hands with, we noticed that there were plenty of dishes, pots, pans, etc for any number of guests to prepare meals. We appreciated having foil, for example, to cover a cookie sheet we used. Our biggest concern was going downstairs to do laundry which was somewhat difficult given the need to duck while going down the stairs a few steps while carrying a full laundry basket due to a low beam - but we managed. In addition, it was ‘creepy’ due to the several ant traps placed on one wall. However, on the last day, as we went back down to do a needed load we encountered hundreds of ants all over basement floor, we literally swept a path to the washer while spraying poison on our way and sept again to dry and get the load out. We contacted Janice to let her know and she was incredibly sorry - and made plans to meet someone in the morning to care of the problem.

The host Janice allowed us access to the house two hours early. The house was just as described. Two bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a large living room and full kitchen. Plenty of room for vehicles, shared driveway with other homes. Several minutes from any place on Desert Island. There is a washer and dryer in the basement, but watch your head on the stairs.

House was perfect for our stay. Very convenient to Acadia and Bar Harbor. House is clean, spacious & comfortable. Beds were sooo comfortable! Everything you need is provided. Janice is so easy to get ahold of if you need anything.
