Location, space in the apartment, helpfulness from the owner
The lounge seats were a bit uncomfortable. Probably need an upgrade but it doesn't really matter when you're out most of the time
Lastly when we booked we saw pictures of the second bedroom having 2 single beds. That is what we thought we booked and this isn't the first time that has happened on Booking.com.com

What a wonderful experience! We spent 16 nights at La Sirene and genuinely couldn't have chosen a better place to stay in Koh Samui.
First and foremost, a very special thank you to Orn, the owner, who is an absolutely wonderful host. From our first enquiry, she was so friendly, welcoming and accommodating. Her lovely daughter, Baitoey, was equally helpful, arranging airport transfers, laundry and even coffee during our stay. Nothing was too much trouble.
The location is simply unbeatable! Just 50 metres from the heart of Fisherman's Village, with its fantastic restaurants, bars, cafés and shops, and another 30 metres to the beach. Yet La Sirene is tucked away in a peaceful setting, away from the noise.
Our two-bedroom apartment was exceptionally spacious, with a generous kitchen, dining and living area, two large bedrooms, air-conditioning throughout and a wonderful outdoor terrace with dining furniture.
There are just four apartments, two downstairs and two upstairs, sharing a lovely swimming pool and sunbathing area. During our stay, we met a lovely Swedish family whose young children adored the pool, along with two Australian friends who were fantastic fun. It created such a friendly, relaxed atmosphere.
Our daughter, who lives in Australia, joined us after a few days, and the apartment was perfect for spending quality family time together.
We hired a car to explore the island, and the complimentary guest parking was another great bonus.
Before booking, we researched accommodation extensively, including several five-star resorts. While some were reasonably priced, many were quite remote. La Sirene offers excellent three-to-four-star-style accommodation, exceptional space and outstanding value, right in the heart of everything.
We also cross-checked reviews across several websites before booking, and I'm delighted to say the wonderful experiences described by previous guests matched ours perfectly.
Absolutely nothing! Our only disappointment was having to leave after 16 wonderful nights. We genuinely loved everything about La Sirene and wouldn't hesitate to return. A very special place with equally special hosts!

Owner was friendly and helpful. Location was superb. Walked down an alley and were in the middle of fisherman’s village. Pool was a great extra

Location, could be a really nice place to stay.
Upon arrival the owner attempted to show us to the first floor, I immediately said we had booked a ground floor apartment which I needed as I have a dodgy knee, she said there was not one available, despite the fact I had booked one 8 months previously and had also sent a message reiterating the fact. Her daughter was summoned and was most unhelpful and just kept saying it was booking.coms fault as they had booked the wrong room, this is despite the confirmation stating clearly apartment is on ground floor. She was continually unhelpful and eventually said we must leave and she would refund us but I doubted her veracity so we grudgingly accepted the rooms.
We decided to sit by the pool and attempted to put up the sunshade/umbrella which promptly snapped from the base making it unusable, the sunshade was one of really heavy types and remained unrepaired all week held up by a small table wedged against a sunbed, had it fallen it could have injured a child. Whilst the apartment was generally okay the whole complex has an air of dilapidation and had seen better days. The shower holder was immovable and the spray missed and hit the wall not myself requiring it to be held. The air conditioner in the bedroom dripped water on to our heads occasionally and the ac unit in the lounge slats were broken and didn't open
