The property was clean and located near many beaches.
We booked the property over a year ago with the specific reason that it had a pool as we have two young children. Upon arrival the local residents there told us the pool had been closed for over a year due to management problems. The owner never informed us that there is no pool and is still advertising the property with a pool. When we contacted the owner he said he did not have phone reception and cannot call us and the pool was closed due to Covid. The local residents disagreed and the pool looked like it had been deserted for years.Needless to say we, the kids and our whole experience in Portugal was influenced by this. A formal complaint was filed with booking.com.
