Hen Gi Mor has three reception rooms. The living rooms are furnished with sofas and chairs for relaxing after a day at the beach. The living room has patio doors leading to the garden and the two other reception rooms have large bay windows and a set of french doors into the garden. One room is set up for TV watching, the other as a quiet room for chatting.

The open-plan kitchen is fully equipped, including an air fryer. At the back, there's a boot room/utility and a family shower room for rinsing off salty hair and sandy toes after the beach.

The first-floor hosts four roomy bedrooms: a king-size double bedroom, a second double bedroom with en-suite shower room, a twin bedroom, and a bunk room. The family bathroom with shower over bath completes the accommodation upstairs.

For larger groups, Hen Gi Mor also offers a beautifully converted annex in the back, previously the garage, now a self-contained space for two. Downstairs is open-plan, with a kitchen, diner and lounge area, plus a separate games room complete with various tabletop games and a dartboard, perfect for rainy days or evening entertainment away from the main house. Upstairs, a generous room with two single beds and an en-suite shower room is finished off with a seating area to relax in, giving guests staying here their own private space to unwind. With a total of four bathrooms across the whole property, there's plenty of room for everyone to get ready for the day.

Hen Gi Mor has front and back gardens. The back patio area, located next to the kitchen, is ideal for outdoor dining and leads down to a lawned area next to the annex. The front garden features a covered wooden hut with sea views. There is parking for three cars on the driveway and more parking can be found on the street if required.

This property is just a 3-minute walk from the convenience store, 5 minutes to the village, and a 2-minute stroll to the beach. A wonderful base for dog walkers, families with youngsters who wake early, and now, larger groups thanks to the addition of the annex.

The Neighborhood:

Rhosneigr (said: ROSS-nigh-ger) is one of the most dog-friendly villages on Anglesey. It's a foodie haven, a watersports mecca, and somehow packs bars, restaurants, independent shops and golden beaches into one small stretch of coastline curving round the village. Whether you're a couple, a family three generations deep, or bringing a dog who's never seen so much sand, it works.

It's on the pricier side, but one visit shows why. Two stunning beaches wrap the village, Traeth Crigyll and Traeth Llydan, the surf's some of the best on the Island, and the food punches well above its weight. Mornings belong to the water, with Funsport or Gecko Surf on the seafront covering surfing, kitesurfing and paddleboarding for all ages. Evenings bring cocktails, fresh food at the Blue Olive, or the Sandy Mount House or fish and chips from Scarletts on the high street, eaten on the beach or back at the house.

Getting Around:

Rhosneigr is best explored by car, with free parking available at the property and throughout the village. The nearest train station, just 5 minutes away at Ty Croes, connects you to Holyhead and Bangor

Other Things to Note:

An AHL Damage Waiver is included as standard with every booking. It’s there to protect the property and give you complete peace of mind, covering accidental damage up to £250, so that if something happens, it doesn’t cast a shadow over your stay.

Towels & Bedding: Linens and bath towels provided (please bring your own beach towels)

Did you know:

We offer booking extras to make your stay even better. Our Extended Stay Refresh* brings fresh linens, new towels, made beds and a quick bathroom reset. *Available on selected properties within our portfolio.

Don’t forget:

Booking with AHL gets you fabulous, unique discounts at eateries, attractions, and shops such as Rib Ride, Zip World, and Sandy Mount House to name a few.

We stayed here for the weekend as 3 friends with 3 dogs and was perfect for our needs. The location couldn't be any better with the beach and sea at the end of the road. The house itself was well equipped with a lovely welcome pack. Having 3 bathrooms is definitely a bonus and we enjoyed the open plan kitchen/diner and lounge area. As we stayed in March we didn't really get to enjoy the garden but it would be great in warmer times. The beds were comfy and lovely thick towels provided. Lots of information provided prior to our stay with the app and also a booklet in the house. The only negatives I would note (which didn't spoil our stay or put us off returning, but were just annoying!) were - 5pm is a really late check in time. I have used lots of rentals in the UK and most have check in of 3pm or even 4pm. We did actually manage to get in slightly earlier as there was workmen at the property, so that was helpful! Secondly I was surprised that there was no soap in each bathroom - just 2 bars provided in the kitchen pack. So you need to bring some if you want it in each bathroom and the kitchen!

We have stayed here several times and it is a wonderful spot and we had a great time as always. Only complaint is that this year's welcome pack was pretty abysmal compared with previous years.

We've previously stayed in several properties in Rhosneigr, so have some basis for comparison. Hen Gi Mor probably wins in terms of location. Really short distance to local shop, Scarletts' chippy and Aydin's excellent pizzas. Also a very short walk (2 minutes) to the beautiful and expansive Traeth Crigyll beach, where our two dogs could run and splash. A good view of the lovely sunsets from the front of the property too. The property itself is, I guess, adequate. Inside, the downstairs is spacious, though upstairs the bedrooms are rather small with limited storage. Throughout though, it felt a bit tatty, with various things missing, loose or not quite working. Outside, because the road is on a slope, there are a large number of steps around the property, many of uneven size, so you do need to walk carefully. Garden furniture is restricted to one round wooden table with integral seating for eight. The very narrow drive did allow us to park three cars, though. The property is reasonably dog secure once the large gate to the drive is shut, provided your dog is not large enough to jump over the low front wall. Our two medium-sized cockapoos were fine. Outside, again, everything looked as though it could do with a bit of TLC. I'm trying to be honest rather than negative. I should emphasise that nothing stopped us having a really enjoyable week. My option below though, that I would recommend this property to others, is still somewhat conditional on a handyman going through the property to find and fix a few faults!
