About this cabin rental
This cabin is situated in the spectacular Douglas Lake Resort. It is perfect for a family vacation or a romantic getaway. You are surrounded by the seclusion of the wilderness and lake. There is a community pool and club house within walking distance. Located next to the pool is the boat ramp for an easy entrance into the lake. Just a short 15 minutes to Sevierville, 20 minutes to Tanger Outlets and Governor's Crossing, 20 minutes to Dollywood/Splash Country, Wilderness at the Smokies Waterpark and 30 minutes to Gatlinburg and The Great Smoky Mountain National Park.
Please note the Lake is Dam controlled. The lake is ONLY at full pool from Memorial Day to Labor Day. The dock and lake will likely be unaccessible after these dates.

The cabin had a great layout and the view was amazing. We would have cancelled our reservation had we known the dock was in disrepair and the lake levels were too low to fix it, however, we didn't receive that update until 48 hours before check in. We understand weather isn't always predictable but knowing the water needed to come up approx 15 feet is something that would be known well before cancellation period was over.It indeed is almost an hour drive from the cabin to Gatlinburg, however, the drive didn't bother us and the comfort of the cabin itself was worth 5 stars. The communication about the dock brought it down a star for us. We would stay again after the dock is repaired.

Stained towels in master bath & burn stain on floor4 burn marks on carpet in front of fireplace. No hair dryer provided. Carpet needs stretching and seams redone in several areas. No cookie sheet or baking pans, aluminum foil, baggies or Saran Wrap provided. No fire starter sticks for fireplace. No sunsets as advertised visible from porch

The cabin was great and very clean and quiet. It was very disappointing to not be able to use the broken dock. The dock was the only reason we rented this property and the pictures of the dock were definitely not recent pictures. We were not made aware that we couldn’t use the dock until two days before check in.
