Avela was lovely! Definitely the nicest place I've stayed in Sayulita. The daily breakfast included was so nice and convenient. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Loved the provided robes in the rooms. The pool was clean and so nice, and the hot tub even felt good once the sun went down. I loved that we could take the provided towels and umbrellas to the beach. We only requested our room to be cleaned once and they did a fantastic job.
It was definitely a bit of a walk and journey into the town center, and up/ down hill which is something to consider for timing/ planning of attire in the 100 degree humidity. I do wish we could've picked what we wanted to eat for breakfast (it was a set meal of eggs and pancakes each day). The bathroom is very dark and hard to get ready in. There are naturally some bugs / geckos / dog / cats / and pet waste around the area that could trek into the rooms, and the doors are not sound proof either so loud partying guests and traffic from the street can be loud to try to sleep.

The property was beautiful and quiet conveniently located away from the town and the noisy night life of Sayulita. Easy access to town, just a few minute walk or use one of their golf carts.
We loved our stay, it is truly a boutique style hotel.

The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, and the owners went above and beyond to make our stay special. The pool area was peaceful with a nice breeze, and the breakfast and poolside food were delicious. It’s a great location, just a short walk into town with easy access to taxis.
